Cafe Hollander- Brookfield

Absolutely love going to this place each time I am in the area. Every item on this menu is good! I've had the crab dip, the cheese curds (to die for), the burger, the chicken and waffles which were actually ok nothing special, and the salmon and each is excellent. Highly recommend this place and the items aren't overpriced!

What a place. Causual, airy, breezy. Crazy extensive menu, many specialty beers, and dark beers at that. Seven of us, all different meals, all delicious. Good sized servings. Only down side. We were upstairs and the sun was blinding, preventing a lot of interaction between us. We could not see each other from the direct blinding sun.

Super unique restaurant with tons of seating. Very friendly staff, and quick service. Sat at the bar and had the cheese curds and a spicy margarita that were both delicious. Abundant beer options! Overall 5 stars!

Great atmosphere and layout of the space. The selection of beer was outstanding and I enjoyed a nice pour of Willett's from the spirits menu. Food menu was equally interesting. I really recommend the meatloaf.Finally, the service team was great...Thanks!

Caffe Hollander is usually a culinary delight and has a very extensive and somewhat eclectic beer menu. Our server, Alexis, was very pleasant and efficient. The cheese curds and brussel sprouts appetizers were wonderful, the Hollander Bloody Mary and brandy old fashioned are great examples of how these beverages should be made. The mini burgers kids meal was tasty and nice but quantity of fries was surprisingly small. The Mac and cheese with shrimp was excellent, the BLT & A with egg has been a long time favorite, the short coming of this visit was the fried chicken and waffle, I found the boneless chicken breast overcooked and in a batter that just really wasn’t very good, the waffle was dense and partially burnt.

Great beers. Good service. Good food that is just off the traditional pub fare. We like it and keep coming back. Covered parking and a great patio are definite pluses.

The Hungry Badger Ham Steak breakfast plate tasted great! There is enough food there to feed two people. Coffee and service were also well done.

This review is for brunch. They clearly have stepped up their game. Great bloody Mary's have always been a staple, but the food is good, as well. A nice brunch selection, with standards, and unique items now.

While our service was great, the food was average at best. The loaded tots were overly salty, and my omelette was super greasy. I can say the basil French toast was good, but not the best I've had. I wouldn't come back for the food, maybe the drinks.🤷🏾‍♀️

Excellent spicy bloody Mary's. the chicken and waffles item was very tasty. Prices are a bit on the higher side for what you get but it wasn't too bad.

This was my first time visiting and I would have to say that they food is pretty good, its nothing out of the ordinary but appetizers, drinks and meals we had were good. The service was great and overall a pretty good experience. The food is a little pricey though, so just be prepared.

Stopped by on my bike with my dog Buddy. Sat outside, beautiful day. Amanda was our server. Very nice person and attentive. Food was very good. Thanks for being pet friendly. We will return.

Cafe Hollander is not just for starters. They have a variety of selections on their menu that include the starters, salads, burgers, desserts and a few breakfast items. They have an impressive drink menu and they do let you sample the different beers. They also have six unique bloody Mary's. The traditional was delicious and recommended. It was very busy but service was fast and friendly. Cafe Hollander is worth stopping in for at least a drink.

We have family in Wisconsin so at Christmas we checked this joint out. Man what a fantastic dining experience. The food was phenomenal! Best mother f@#king cheese curds on the planet!!!! Seriously! Service and overall experience was fantastic! Cafe Hollander please open a restaurant here in Columbus Ohio!!!!

The wing special on Packers game day is awesome. Definitely will come back if I am in Brookfield area

The restaurant is in a great location. Clean, lots of seating and unique merchandise sold inside. I was really excited to take my boyfriend and his mom here for breakfast as I love going to Café Hollander in Madison when I'm in town. Unfortunately, our server was very inattentive and our food portions were very small for the price and in comparison to what I have gotten in Madison. Also in comparison to those around us. I wish I would have taken a picture to show how empty our plates looked.

Great atmosphere, good food.Enjoyed the bacon-chicken-avocado wrap, which is apparently the most popular item on the menu. Sweet potato fries were also yummy.Paired it with the oaky chardonnay. Wonderful night out with friend in a casual, but cozy atmosphere. Lovely Christmas decor is now up for photos with friends and family.

Nice atmosphere good food really poor service.We had a large group for breakfast (12) and basically had to beg for water refills or more coffee. We had reservations so we didn't surprise them but they acted really under staffed. One order was forgot so anyone who waited on that order ended up with cold food and no coffee. The manager was on it fast and comped that meal and really apologized. It would be a nice place to try again with a smaller group someday in the future.There are just way too many good places to take a group to ever have this bad if service.

If you like paying extra $$ for foam on top of your beer this place is for you. You start out paying top dollar for your beer and than they PURPOSELY pour it with a larger than normal head of foam. Just sit back and watch the bartenders consistently rip you off, which I’m sure is a owner/managers decision, since you see all of the bartenders doing it. I won’t be back and if you have to go buy your beer in a bottle!

Poached eggs very under-cooked. Server clearly didn’t listen to one of our orders, as my son ordered an adult waffle breakfast. He received a child’s meal. We told the server, who said, “Awesome, I’ll tell them!” This seemed very rude! My son was also brought water when he ordered juice. Both instances were corrected, however, no apology was ever offered. We’ll never come back here again. The server needs to work on her communication skills. We had MUCH better service and food at Mimosa. I would recommend that place over this one if you’re looking for a good brunch.

Food was excellent but service was God awful. Waiter never checked on us, never refilled our water. Walked by our table multiple times only to help other tables literally a foot away from us. I was so thirsty. My friend never got her beer that she ordered. Just a horrible waiting experience.

I enjoyed every meal, and there have been plenty. The staff is as friendly as they are efficient. Continued success. Look forward to my next visit

Always a good experience at the hollander, we had the plain burger and fries, and the chicken salad. Both were amazing. This hollander has alot of space which makes it nice to go sit and chill with friends. Will come back.

Love this place. Great selection of beers on tap. Even some hard to find beers. The food is phenomenal!!! If you love beer, this is your place.

My granddaughter & I stopped for a bite. We each had a sandwich...chicken avocado...BLT. Generous portions. Their tomato basil bisque was delicious. However, I felt that the menu was limited in all categories. How about a nacho appetizer? Or a build-a-burger choice (cheese, onion, fried egg, etc). The fried egg is a tasty addition to any burger! Devine was our server....great service Devin👍

Little slice of Europe in Wisconsin! Great beer selection. Awesome patio with fire pits for the summertime. Dog friendly patio out front. Enjoyed my experience and will be back!

We have visited a couple of times now for Sunday Brunch. The food is excellent. Numerous menu options for everyone in our group. Worth trying their real Belgian Waffles and Beignets if you like sweet treats!

We had berry french toast and fries. It was good. Then we went to a movie.

Everything I've had here has been wonderful. Except for the breakfast burrito... I didn't think was worth it. Highly recommend the pretzel sammy or salmon for breakfast. Service is consistently great. Try the curry ketchup. You won't be disappointed.

Good food. Prompt service. Predictable suburban setting. Had to park 3 blocks away. Convenient meeting place in your in that shopping district.

The Sconnie burger was excellent! I'm a very picky eater and I really enjoyed it. Great service and comfortable seating. Love the decorations. My IPA i chose was also very good. Our waitress Kort was awesome too! We will be going back for sure!

This is a hard one. I had a Treat-yourself Tini at the bar which was excellent. We wanted a table in the upper level. We were told there was only one waitress up there so we were given a table in what looked like the child section downstairs. We were four adults. Our waiter was great. Everyone's food was tough and hard to bite. Bread over toasted, bacon over cooked and meat dry. Needless to say, I was not impressed.

I love all of the cafe Hollander locations! Great food, atmosphere, and waitstaff. Food menus are always changing with super interesting and unique dishes, I’ve never got something I didn’t like! A few of our favorite dishes have been rotated off the menu but we keep coming back because of the quality we get.

One.cocktail and one beer, plus bottles of wine for happy hr. Good for special diets.

My go-to for brunch! I absolutely love the roasted veggie omelette! Thankful for their support of local partners, too! Service is great and the staff is always so warm and friendly.

I just passed through but it has a magnificent atmosphere. It looks like a tavern but with modern fixtures. A lovely place to have a meal with friends.

Good food and generally good staff. Sometimes inconsistent experience, but they will take care of you. Go for breakfast for sure. Lunch dinner also good. The bloody Mary's were pretty decent. Had the French toast, yogurt, and Benedict. Eggs cooked wonderful. The restaurant dining area is clean. the bathroom is clean. Decor is nice.

Burgers are good to very good. Sweet potato fries worth trying. Regular fries tasted stale. Salad welted and wet. Their Belgium bread was warm but tasteless. Service slow and not attentive. Large space with two floors and large glass windows, but feels like a chain. Crowded and loud. Unless trying different beer choices is important, I recommend looking elsewhere for good food and service.

This is the nicest cafe Hollander I know of and the food has never been bad. I tried the special old fashioned with a brisket and serving of the new mussels. I do not give a full rating because my favorite item was the spicy monk mussels and they changed the menu recently, removing it.
